Most event planning advice assumes you have weeks. Sometimes you have two days. The partner forgot to tell you about the function they offered to host. The original furniture hire fell through. The event date crept up faster than anyone planned.
Last-minute event hire in Sydney is possible. Here is how it works.
One to two weeks out: Usually manageable. Most hire companies, including us, can accommodate bookings at this lead time if the items are available. Contact us directly and we will confirm.
Three to five days out: Still possible. Call rather than email — faster response time when the clock is ticking.
24 to 48 hours out: Possible for pickup orders, subject to what is available. Delivery at this range depends on our schedule. Call immediately rather than waiting.
Same day: This is tight but not impossible if you can pick up from Kingsgrove yourself and the items are available.
Our hire range is cocktail tables (with covers), bar stools, and the cake plinth. All three are available for last-minute booking subject to availability.
If you can get to Kingsgrove for pickup, same-day hire becomes much more realistic. Pickup is free and does not require delivery scheduling.
When you contact us for a last-minute booking, have the following ready:
If your event is in 48 hours, here is the fastest path:
1. Call us directly — do not use the web form
2. Have your numbers, venue suburb, and contact details ready
3. Confirm availability and whether you are picking up or need delivery
4. Confirm the booking
5. Arrange pickup time or confirm delivery window
That process can happen in under ten minutes on the phone.
Do you charge more for last-minute bookings?
No. Pricing is the same regardless of lead time.
What is the absolute latest I can book?
For pickup: morning of the event if we have items available. For delivery: at least 24 to 48 hours, depending on our schedule.
Can I book online at 11pm for a weekend event?
You can use the web form any time. For anything time-critical, calling is faster.
Is there a last-minute surcharge?
No. Standard pricing applies.
