
Baptisms and christenings in Sydney follow a pretty consistent pattern. The ceremony happens at the church, which is usually beautiful and requires no decoration effort from the family. Then everyone comes back to the reception — a home, a backyard, a community hall, a restaurant private room — and that space needs to look like you put thought into it.
The furniture is where that effort shows. Cocktail tables and chairs signal that this is a proper celebration, not just sandwiches on a folding table from the garage.
Cocktail tables ($20 each with cover): For a family gathering of 30 to 60 guests, four to six tables. Tables with white covers suit most baptism aesthetics.
Bar stools ($5 each): Family gatherings have a wide age range. Grandparents, aunties, uncles, and parents with toddlers need actual seating. Budget for more stools than you might for a younger crowd — two to four per table, leaning towards four.
Cake plinth ($50): The christening cake is often elaborate and expensive. Give it a display position it deserves.

For a 50-guest christening reception:
5 tables ($100) + 16 stools ($80) + 1 plinth ($50) = $230
Delivery within 10km of Kingsgrove (St George area): $200 return. Total: $430.
Pickup from Kingsgrove: free, making the furniture total $230.
Can we pick up the morning of the baptism?
Yes. We can arrange early pickup if your timing requires it.
Is there a minimum order?
No. Two tables and eight stools is a fine order.
What is the hire period?
Four days, which covers the day before, the day of, and the day after the event.
