Our cake plinth hires for $50 and gives your cake a proper display. It’s tall, freestanding, and impossible to miss when guests walk in. It also doubles as a photo spot — everyone takes a picture with the birthday person next to the cake.

Small Space Setups — Share Houses and Apartments

A lot of 21sts happen in share houses, apartments, or someone’s parents’ lounge room. Space is tight, and you don’t want to overcrowd the room.

For a small space (20-30 guests):

• 2-3 cocktail tables
• 4-6 bar stools
• 1 cake plinth

Total: $140-$160 (before delivery)

Cocktail tables take up less floor space than traditional tables and chairs, and guests can move around them easily. They’re perfect for standing-room parties where people drift between the kitchen, the living room, and the backyard.

Backyard Party Setups

If you’ve got a backyard, you’ve got more room to work with. Spread tables across the space so guests aren’t all bunched in one spot.

For a backyard party (40-60 guests):

• 4-6 cocktail tables
• 10-15 bar stools
• 1 cake plinth

Total: $180-$245 (before delivery)

Put a couple of tables near the drinks, a couple near the food, and leave the rest in open areas for guests to gather around. The cake plinth goes wherever you want the cake to be the star — usually near the entrance or at the back of the main entertaining area.

Black or White? Pick Based on Time of Day

Every piece of furniture comes in black or white with a fitted stretch cover.

• Evening parties: Black looks sharp, hides spills, and suits a more grown-up atmosphere
• Daytime parties: White feels fresh and open, and it photographs well in natural light

• 0-10km: $100 each way
• 10-20km: $150 each way
• 20-30km: $200 each way
• 30-40km: $250 each way
