The bridal shower is one of those events that tends to fall on whoever volunteered to organise it. The bride says she does not want anything fancy. Everyone agrees. And then somehow the mood board has arch backdrops and a grazing table and a dessert display and twenty personalised items from a small-batch etsy shop.
The furniture, at least, does not have to be complicated. This is what to hire and how to make it work.
Cocktail tables ($20 each with cover): For a bridal shower of 15 to 25 women, two to three cocktail tables is usually right. They work as gathering points for drinks and conversation, and as display surfaces for grazing boards.
Bar stools ($5 each): Bridal showers are seated events more than standing ones. Two to four stools per table, with enough to seat most guests at once.
Cake plinth ($50): The bridal cake gets a plinth. The rippled white plinth elevates the cake display and looks good in every photo taken in front of it.
White cocktail tables and stools are the right call for almost every bridal shower. What to put on and around them:
Table runners: Linen, rattan, or dried floral runners add texture without adding cost.
Fresh or dried florals: A small arrangement in the centre of each table ties the furniture to the overall palette.
Candles: Even unlit candles on a cocktail table look dressed.
Personalised elements: Menus, place cards, custom napkins — these sit on the table and connect the furniture to the event’s branding.
15 to 20 guests: 2 to 3 tables, 8 to 12 stools, 1 plinth
25 to 35 guests: 3 to 4 tables, 12 to 16 stools, 1 plinth
40+ guests: 5 or more tables, 16 to 20+ stools, 1 plinth
For 20 guests:
3 tables ($60) + 10 stools ($50) + 1 plinth ($50) = $160
Delivery within 15km: $300 return. Total with delivery: $460. Total with pickup: $160.
Do you work with event stylists?
Yes. If you have a stylist coordinating the bridal shower, we are happy to liaise directly with them.
Is there a minimum hire amount?
No minimum. Two tables and six stools is a completely fine order.
What is the hire period?
Four days. Pick up or receive delivery before the event and return after.
